The Kerengga Ant-Like Jumper! A poor, timid little spider species making their way in the world by pretending to be scary, angry weaver ants so nothing comes and beats them up. Not only a great example of mimicry, but a rather fascinating example of sexual selection too. See, the males have such long fangs to help them fight off other males and attract females. However, the female’s preference towards larger fangs actually made the male’s disguise worse! But, lo! The male has evolved little *eyespots on his fangs*, in an attempt to rework the disguise as one ant carrying another! Evolution is truly something else, guys.
(Wow!)
