The Slime-n-Dine! Intro (2)

Welcome to the Slime-n-Dine, my DnD Campaign! Unfortunately I couldn't run it to the end (not even close, actually), and while I did have the whole thing planned out I only made art up to where my actual players were in the story. But whatever! I'll document what I have here, as well as any major story beats. HOWEVER, IF YOU KNOW ME AND THINK YOU WOULD EVER WANT TO PLAY THIS CAMPAIGN, TURN AWAY AS THERE WILL BE SPOILERS AHEAD!

You start in a tavern (cliche, right), but not as adventurers. You've all been hired by the entrepreneurial Slime Pickins, a restaurant owner renowned for his magical and enchanting dishes. He gracefully hired you all to work at the magnanimous Slime-n-Dine, despite your backgrounds as adventurers (in fact, he seemed to be excited by that prospect). Now, 2 months after being initially hired, as he calls you into his office you're starting to see why.

See, Slime is in possession of a powerful and ancient arcane tome known as the Gastronomicon. It's how he creates such enchanting and dishes with their magical effects, and it's been in his family ever since his enigmatic Great-Grandpappy Cherry Pickins brought it home after a bout of adventuring. However, problem is, it requires magical and hard-to-find ingredients, and his suppliers have suddenly and mysteriously ceased contact with him. So now he wants you to use your adventuring skills to fetch them ingredients! You'll get a bonus!
