Upside-Down Jellyfish!

The Upside-Down Jellyfish! The taxonomy of this critter is a little confusing, I’ll admit. The whole genus Cassiopea are known as the Upside-Down Jellyfish, but this specific species *in* the genus of Upside-Down Jellyfish also has the common name of the Upside-Down Jellyfish. On an upside-note, these guys’ stings provide protection for a second mutualistic species. The algae provides the, food, while some species of shrimp actually make their homes in the jellyfish’s tentacles, eating any harmful parasites that may accrue!
