Woolly Apple Aphid!

The Woolly Apple Aphid! (Sorry about any color confusion in the pic—white wouldn’t show up well against the background, so for text, the doodle, and the stamp, just imagine the light blue as white, haha). The American Blight has lots of pretty interesting information out there about it (probably due to its ubiquitous infamy). For instance, did you know that (underneath all that wax, anyway) the nymphs of these aphids are salmon in color, but when hibernating they turn a dark green? But my favorite piece of info probably comes directly from the Wikipedia page: “When the adults are crushed they leave a blood red stain.”
